Samsung Galaxy SII Phone Coming to Sprint?
"This is my next" reports that the Samsung Galaxy S II phone maybe sold as the Within for Sprint.
The first Samsung Galaxy phone sold well, but in terms of how it was received by consumers, it was NOT good. There are constant reports of GPS not locking. Even more so, users complained that Samsung didn't delivered the upgrade from 2.1 Eclair (as delivered) to 2.2 Froyo in a timely fashion.
They were released as different model names to different carriers. For Sprint, it came with a keyboard and sold as the Epic.
I'm not sure who is really responsible for the late deliveries of upgrades, but it sure ticked off users who felt that Samsung didn't keep to their promise to the promised 2.2 update.
Oddly, Samsung is now prepping to sell the Galaxy S II, and the reception seems to be more eager about this one.
It does look beautiful and is spec'ed nicely with a dual core processor.
Check out Samsung's website for it.
However, personally, I'm still wary about the Samsung non-support they showed with the first Galaxy phones. I have a feeling that S II users will be crying about how Samsung isn't updating it with Ice Cream Sandwich.
